Shannon Bygott Art
Mixed Media

Shannon Bygott is an artist based in Columbia, South Carolina. Her passion for painting began in primary school in Florence, SC, and continued through her time at East Tennessee State University. After years away from painting, Shannon rediscovered her creative voice in the spring of 2020, when the world slowed down during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Being restricted from doing the things we love inspired me to try to make a difference through painting. I just wanted to make people happy. I never expected things to take off like they did—but I am humbled and honored to help put a little Happy in the homes and hearts of my customers.” – Shannon

Shannon’s work is known for its vibrant use of color and uplifting spirit, mostly using acrylic paint. She paints expressive abstracts filled with bright, joyful tones, serene Lowcountry landscapes inspired by the marshes and waterways of South Carolina, and charming still-life pieces of fresh-cut flowers in pretty vases. She also enjoys capturing the emotion and nostalgia of meaningful places, such as beloved family homes or college alma maters.

Her process often begins by blending photographs with personal memories, layering color, texture, and feeling to create pieces that radiate both warmth and connection. Through every brushstroke, Shannon seeks to share “a little Happy” with those who find her art speaks to their heart.

The Glass Menagerie
Glasswork

I have been working with glass for over 50 years, since the age of 13, learning from my father in our family business. My fused Glass pieces are created with Bullseye glass, cut and fused in a kiln, up to 3 firings to create the finished product. I design and make all of the decorative components ahead of time.

The items are functional and fun from serving pieces, to garden art, to home decor. Including fused mirrors, pictures and wall art.

My lamp work beads are made with Moretti Glass from Italy. The work is done on a torch. The glass rod is heated and applied to a mandrel, after achieving the desired shape, the surface decoration is applied. The beads are then placed in a kiln to anneal for strength and durability. They are then created into beautiful jewelry using sterling silver findings. I continue to enjoy working with glass and learning new techniques to create one of a kind pieces of art. Glass is a fluid, ever changing medium. I create all my glass art myself.

Nancy Tuten Fine Art
Painting

As an undergraduate at Newberry College, Nancy Tuten studied with artist K. David Brown. After a decades-long career as an English professor at Columbia College, she returned to painting, at first working with familiar acrylics and brushes but soon experimenting with oils and palette knives under the tutelage of Columbia-based artist Rob Shaw.

Her paintings often reflect her South Carolina roots, particularly her childhood in Charleston near marshes and beaches, her many decades in the Midlands, and her fondness for the foothills.

In 2022, she was one of ten artists featured at MIRCI’s 52 Windows event. She regularly participates in Midlands-area arts festivals, guilds, and juried shows. In 2025, her oil painting Lowcountry Light received a blue ribbon in the professional division of the Trenholm Artists Guild’s spring show, and King Tide received a red ribbon in the guild’s fall show.

Pam’s Personalized Panes
Other

I am a repurposer. I turn old windowpanes and picture frames into art, chalkboards, jewelry organizers, suncatchers & more, using repurposed items. Some items used are old jewelry, feathers, shells, pinecones, leaves, twigs, dried flowers, knobs, and door pulls. New items include paint and glue. My uniqueness is gluing directly to the glass. Custom orders/keepsakes are encouraged and this draws a lot of attention. I also encourage children to look closely to find objects that I have used and to use their own imaginations for repurposing. I have been displaying my work for 5 years.

Bianco Company Limited
Other

I've been creating entomology art for almost 2 years! I love being able to create forever habitats for insects where they will be admired for their beauty and purpose. All pieces are handmade and almost all include herbs/flowers grown on our farm. Broom making is a skill I learned last year and knew it had to be a part of my business. At this time I make hand brooms: turkey wing whisk brooms and small altar brooms. This year I was accepted into the Charleston Night Market and received an award from the mayor.

Endless Somer Daze Studios
Ceramics

Artist Somer Parker-Palmer of Endless Somer Daze Studios creates pottery meant to live with its owner — to be used, loved, and remembered. Her work blends whimsy with function, transforming simple forms and sculptural explorations into vessels that invite quiet joy into the everyday. Inspired by nature’s rhythms and the small, sacred rituals of daily life — a morning cup, a flower stem, a shared table — each piece is crafted by hand to become a future heirloom: a tactile reminder that beauty can be both practical and profoundly personal.

Brenda Peake Fine Art
Painting

From a very early age, Brenda has had the desire to create.

After marriage, she and her mother opened a bakery. Cake decorating satisfied her creative desires until her two sons moved away, giving her more time to learn painting.

Brenda started with watercolors and soon began painting with oils, and has been hooked ever since. Mainly painting with oils these days, she is fascinated by how the pigments react and constantly experimenting with color combinations.

A loose, painterly, alla prima style full of color and expressive brushwork is what she strives for in her paintings—always struggling not to give too much information and leaving some things to the imagination.

Living in South Carolina, she is inspired by her surroundings, especially the coastal South Carolina culture and landscapes.

Now retired from the bakery, she can finally concentrate on her lifelong dream of painting full-time and loves spending hours in front of the easel.

She is a proud member of the American Impressionist Society and the Crooked Creek Art League.

Jess Lancaster Design
Painting

Born and raised in Greenville, SC, Jessica has always been drawn to create. From her early days of doodling in notebooks, to a desire to be a fashion designer in high school, it took becoming a mother for her to find her way back to her creativity. Painting brought her peace and reconnected her to herself in those early years of motherhood and has continued to be her sanctuary ever since. With a background in graphic design and a love of nature, her work seeks to capture a bit of that magic and beauty, and to reignite the curiosity and whimsy of the imaginative child within.
